When Heroes started up 2 years ago, I just watched out of curiousity. Needless to say, I was more than pleasantly surprised. The show was awesome. It was exciting. "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World". However, only a few episodes into this season and I'm contemplating where it's even worth watching. There is just too much going on. Dozens of characters, too much time travel, and characters acting um, completely out of character. I seriously feel in love with show first season. It was new and fresh. Now, it's just annoying and tiresome. There just seems to be a lot happening. However, there doesn't seem to be any real reason for these happenings. It's too disconnected. Random grumblings to follow.
1) Kill off some of the characters. And not that fake 'kill you and then go back and stop time/give you a transfusion of regenerative blood omg, you're alive crap'. If a character is killed, they should stay DEAD. Except Nathan. (Sidebar: I know he was shot and died. But I love him and Adrian Pasdar is certified eye candy. This show is slowly sinking. I need some reason to keep watching). Now, where was I? Oh yeah, there are already far too many characters to keep up with. Not to mention, only a few are even likeable or interesting.
Get rid of the excess, non-essential characters.
My suggestions: Maya (whiny and weak)
Tracy Strauss AKA Niki Sanders AKA Jessica (seriously, wtf?)
All of the escaped Level 5
Speedster chick ( I forget her name, see how forgettable she is)
Sures h (yawn)
2) When this show started, it made it seem like it would be about a small select few of individuals with super abilities. Now, it seems every character they introduce has some sort of power. It's silly. Not everyone needs a super power.
2) Some of my favorite characters are so lame now.
Bring back Season 1 Peter. Sweet, vulnerable, emo bangs. Yes please.
Hiro, the naive bumbling act is old. I'm ready for Samuari Hiro. The one we saw in Season 1.
3) Characters who I have loved consistently since Season 1:
H R muthaf'ing G (Badass)
Angela Petrelli (so secretive and fab)
4) Character(s) who should'nt have died:
Issac Mendez...hello?
5) We need more Petrelli brother action. Not gonna lie, Nathan and Peter made Season 1 so hot. The constant touching and long stares at each other. There hasn't been enough of that. Brotherly love at its hottest....is that gross? Probably. But who cares, it's fiction people. LOL
I looked forward to this show in Season 1. Seasone 2 was not nearly as good. But I had pretty high expectations for Season 3 to redeem itself. So far, I've been somewhat disappointed. I'll keep watching, hoping that it works itself out. But it better do it pretty soon because the ratings have been down.
